After my baby shower on Saturday my sister, whose a great artist, painted my belly for me. Took us awhile to decide what to paint, there were so many choices and ideas! In the end we decided on this fish bowl. With Alex's love of fish and my big mouth these goldfish were a perfect combo! LOL
I'm 31 weeks 5 days in these photos.

3D Ultrasound
On Friday Alex's mom and dad took us to Premier 4D Imaging in Bloomington MN for an ultrasound as an Easter Gift.
It truly was amazing! She's a little mashed up in there, not much room left for her but we got some great photos none the less. Here's a few of the best ones.

Profile shot - I've been told she has my lips, and Alex's nose and face shape.

Paige
I took some photos of Paige today to mark her 5th year. It was a little cold out and she was a trooper sitting in the shade in a t-shirt. Luckily she's easy to photograph so it only took about 10 minutes or so to get a few good shots.
She had so much fun getting her hair curled and she picked out her outfit!

Kids Meal - Yeah Right!
Last time I checked the meals for children at Burger King were called, Kids Meals. Why then, do they gear the toys in them and the commercials for them towards teenagers and adults?
I noticed this a few weeks back when I took Paige to BK and she got a Simpson's toy. When she took the toy out she looked at me with a confused look on her face and was really disappointed. Well, what 5 year old wouldn't be, I certainly don't let her watch The Simpson's. Yes, it's in cartoon form but not something for a kinder gardener.
Then today, I saw a commercial for their so-called "Kids Meals", which now had a Sponge Bob toy being offered, a little more like it. However, the commercial was set to the music of "Baby Got Back", talking about how the King liked square butts and has woman dressed like Sponge Bob, shaking their butts. The commercial concludes with Sir-Mix-A-Lot, the artist who originally did the song, sitting with 2 woman watching this commercial and says "Booty is Boooty"
Now, I'm not a prude. My daughter watches tv, movies and I don't limit her to PBS, she listens to a diverse selection of music from The Jayhawks, to Hannah Montana, The Beatles, Taylor Swift, and so on. This "Kids Meal" thing however is just beyond me, what kid are the trying to reach? I don't think I want to know a 5 year old who knows The Simpson's enough to want their toys and knows who Sir-Mix-A-Lot is.
If their motto is "Have It Your Way" I'd like to have some choices for things that come with my daughters kids meal.

This Is What 5 Looks Like
Paige turned 5 on the 1st of April.
Time sure has flown by it seems! She got to have a party at school, and bring a cake to share. She'll also be having a family party with my and Alex's sides of the family here this weekend AND a school party with a bouncy castle in May when the weather is warmer/ Not to mention the one party she had with her Dad's side of the family the weekend before!
It's a lot of parties, I know - but - this is the last year she will have this many so we're going out with a BANG! From now on, just her friend party since she'll be in school.
She's obsessed with animals and growing up to be a vet, hence the puppies on her cake (made by Grandma's Bakery in White Bear Lake) And aside from the pink iPod shuffle she got from her father the weekend before, her favorite gift was her puppy video game for her Leapster from me and Al.
Here's a few photos of her on her big day and with her new haircut.
